What if social media could be used to build a website?

Building and maintaining a brand website is hard and often quickly becomes out of date. What if you could use social media platforms as the Content Management System (CMS) to automically update your site?

We developed a dynamic backend system to let brands curate, style and display content from any online channel to generate their very own social hub embedded on their domain.
Goals:

Build a website using social APIs to call content

Enable styling and formating of content to be “on brand”

Create a fully responsive frontend solution for all devices

The first social hub, FacesofNYFW.com was created for New York Fashion Week and ran for 3 seasons, attracting worldwide media attention, “top digital innovations at fashion week” and multiple design awards including Site Of The Day on Awwwards.com
Clients included: Condé Nast, musician Courtney Barnett, Triumph, Berlinale, Peerspace rentals,  Visit Norway, Harry’s, Bridgestone, Rock Am Ring festival, and Uber.

“The social hub was our most valuable digital advertising asset ever”

– Berlinale Film Festival

Berlinale was a recurring event’s customer, we worked with them to adapt the web experience to fit their numerous big screens such as on the red carpet. It was their most valuable digital advertising asset ever.

Musician Courtney Barnett used the platform to convert her homepage into a fan homage.

We worked a lot with iconic publisher Condé Nast USA, powering their corporate homepage for the year and numerous advertiser campaigns with individual publications.

Ecommerce was another vertical we developed landing pages for to enrichen often dull product pages with customers own content. We further experiemented with the OOH “Live Wall” solution for use in MTA subway touch screens.
